1. When shopping online, choose the best shipping policy. Many times companies offer expedited shipping. However, often getting the product one day earlier can cost you as much as twice the normal shipping price. Therefore, if you can wait on the product to arrive using normal shipping instead of expedited shipping, choose standard shipping to save money.
2. When you're shopping online you have to be sure you know who you're buying from. If you're buying upon an online auction site, only purchase from people that have positive feedback. On other sites look to see if they are a reputable company by searching for reviews to them online.
3. Find out the online store's return policy. In case you are considering making a purchase on an item that you might like to return, be sure you find out if returning the item is an option. Sometimes when you shop online, items are unable to be returned and you may not want to be saddled with an unwanted item.
5. If you are intending to be shopping online, make sure that you practice it from a computer connection you know is secure, like the one which you have in your own home. Hackers try to find WI-Fi connections in public places when they are scouting for victims, so avoid shopping when using them.
